How the Democrats Stole Christmas

WASHINGTON, D.C., December 19, 2019 -

Time is running out, the Speaker snarled with a sneer.

Next week is Christmas; it’s practically here!

With nothing to show and nervously drumming,

we all knew a vote on impeachment was coming.

The American people stood puzzled: How could this be?

Democrats choose to ignore national problems with glee?

They drafted the articles with a most partisan air,

and divided the country with a great and terrible tear.

They ignored renewable energy and wildfires too,

and rushed through impeachment, though no charges were true.

They neglected water projects and the backlog bill,

and voted to oust our President against the public will.

But Republican work on bipartisan bills filled the air.

All that was needed was for Democrats to care.

From Critical Minerals to an all-of-the-above energy approach,

All American solutions met with Democrat reproach.

They slithered and slunk, with smiles most unpleasant.

A partisan vote to impeach was their big Christmas present.

But do not worry, for we knew what to do,

Republicans will continue working hard for you.
