Chairman Hastings Memorandum Providing Notice to Committee Members that a Subpoena was Issued to the Department of the Interior Deputy Inspector General

RE:               Subpoena issued


I hereby give notice that I have issued a subpoena duces tecum (for documents) to the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Inspector General for documents related to the OIG’s investigation into the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement’s rewrite of the 2008 Stream Buffer Zone rule. A copy of the subpoena may be reviewed in the Committee office (1324 Longworth House Office Building) during business hours.
