Taylor Owner Taylor Environmental Consulting Casper, Wyoming (Truth in Testimony Form) Robert Wharff Executive Director Wyoming Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife Evanston, Wyoming (Truth in Testimony Form) Background:On Wednesday, September 4, 2013 the Full Committee will hold two oversight field hearings on the Endangered Species Act under the same title: “State and Local Efforts to Protect Species, Jobs, Property, and Multiple Use Amidst a New War on the West.” The focus of these hearings will be to hear specific examples of how states, local entities, recreational and private property owners are struggling to balance the needs of species with other economic and multiple use needs as the Obama Administration reignites a “War on the West” with federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) listings, critical habitat designations, and closed-door settlements with litigious groups. The first hearing will be held at 9:00 AM in Casper, Wyoming. The second hearing will be held at 1:30 PM in Billings, Montana. Related Documents:
