Background:
Our nation’s federal multi-purpose dams and reservoirs have provided abundant water and emissions-free hydropower for generations. This infrastructure has helped provide the foundation for long-term jobs and economic growth. These federal water and power supply projects continue to be vital components of our nation’s infrastructure. This hearing will focus on the past and future missions of the agencies delivering federal hydropower as well as the controversies surrounding specific issues.
